Pharmaceutical Development
As part of its commitment to R&D, Norgine commissioned the building and establishment of the Norgine Development Centre in 2009; a centre dedicated to new product development comprising:
- Development laboratory
- GMP manufacturing room
- Stability room
- IMP packing room
- Analytical laboratory
- Bench space / fume hoods
- Offices
- Meeting room facilities

The Norgine Development Centre houses the Pharmaceutical Development department, (one arm of Product Development), who are responsible for managing all development chemistry, manufacturing and controls activity, including:
- Sourcing and managing suppliers
- Formulation development
- Analytical method development & validation
- Manufacturing
- Filling & packaging
- Stability studies
- Provision of clinical trial material for all Norgine clinical trials (Phase I to IV)
- Preparation of submission-ready regulatory Module 2 & 3 documentation
