The Medical team’s mission is ‘’to establish the strategic direction and coordination of Norgine's Medical functions to underpin global business and regulatory requirements, pioneer value added activities and to build the Medical function at Norgine into a coordinated team which thinks globally and acts locally’’.
The main activities undertaken within Medical are Medical Information, Marketing support, customer liaison and Clinical Research (phase IIIB, IV and non-interventional trials). Medical also provides input to the country network for Global Pharmacovigilance. The Central Unit ensures all actions are coordinated in a coherent, harmonised and holistic manner. The RMUs and country staff manage the receipt and processing of adverse event reports, Product Quality Complaints, requests for medical information from consumers, sales representatives and healthcare professionals. They perform local literature scanning and review for identification of adverse events and Special Situations. They are responsible for national studies or multinational studies in liaison with Central Medical. They also work closely with Commercial teams to liaise with our customers and external experts.
